Voices of Venus - Umi
Allison Amazon reading a poem about the fight for sex workers rights.
Pearl Cohen, (my ex) reading a poem about her ex.
I also happened to spend time with my two other exes today while colouring this and noticed a theme. I may not always love them, or who they become. But I will always find them beautiful. (And awkwardly have strong urges to kiss them)
Mystery poet
Kathleen Grace. Drank tea with hot sauce in it with me.

ARE YOU READY FOR THIS COMIC???
This is likely my debut comic series. I'm going to do my best to update weekly.
These are just the rough drafts, I'll be inkng and colouring in the next few days :)
Please give a warm welcome to my new comic "Under Lock and Key"
The main characters are going to be Master Lochlan (Lock - the long haired gender ambiguous flirt) Master Kieran ( Key- the severe butch lez punisher), Chains (the cute lolita Maid) and the lead female role. Her name is up in the air, Maybe "Under," "Charms," "pet," "rover" or something. Or Regina, because of the look I'm going for. If you think of any cute or funny names/euphamisms for 'submissive" let me know. The obnoxious cashier in these first few pages isn't likely to return.

Maid Cafe Comic Concept Rough
I'm thinking of doing a maid cafe comic with an s/M and queer twist. I'll be drawing heavily from life experience, and stories I've heard. It's a spin off from the "littlest lesbian" idea. I wanted a set, and cast of fun characters. I'll probably just cartoon everyone I know for an extended cast. if you have any stories about relationships, things queer, or bdsm send them to me and I'll add it in. Like a fantasy gossip column comedy.

Performers at Umi's Open Mic Oct 1st 2010
Feilipe Miguel, Anacer Ateskal, Brandon Wint
Matt
Karen James
Justine Ellis
AJ played with Zoe, they sounded realy great together.
Zoe sang my favourite song of the night; "Where's Waldo's Sister?"
The one person wh performed at Umi that night who's name and signature I missed. I like continuity.
Andre Comeau, Mathew Lebanc, Felipe Miguel
Scott Murray
"Franky" - Francesco Palozzi singing "Love Connects Us" the whole cafe fils with miling people clapping and singing. It's why I love Umi :D
Jeff Swim
The only two missing are John Amor and Mark 'Lobo'. This is because their potraits are hanging in Umi. They are easily the best drawings of the night. Go see them if you're in Ottawa. Umi (Ottawa's friendliest Cafe) is on Somerset and Percy. Visit me, and get a free coffee to mentioning my site!
The leaves have begun to turn
Autumn feels like falling out of love. Or just conceding to entropy.
Autumn feels like falling down. I was sad that he felt neglected even after I did my best. My best is all I had to give, sorry.
I had a very clear vision for this. Isn't she a fox? I was drawing in Dundonald one afternoon in the rain. I propped an umbrella over the picnic table.
It started out as a letter to a friend, but turned into something else :) A morning that started with a sprawl in the leaves before work stumbled into such a glorious day.
A very lovely girl walked into my cafe, and walked out with me. "You read love poetry at the last dyke march. I still remember your dress was incredible."
"At Capital Slam I couldn't think of much to say, so I drew your legs. I think you were flattered, and I didn't embarrass myself. 1 for the home team."
I communicate more clearly with silence and graphite.
After the poetry slam, we went to Emily's for dinner. Emi's girlfriend Robin knew her already. The babydyke I am, is so impressed by all the well connected older girls. "I can see through the confidant socialite when you watch me drawing you."
